Cambridge is one of the more interesting cities we work in. The mix of work shifts by area. North of the city, the Cambridge Science Park brings serious commercial fit-outs for biotech, tech, and research firms where the spec is exact and the finishes have to hit modern office lighting standards. The city centre is restaurant upgrades, retail fit-outs, and student accommodation. Anglia Ruskin University on East Road has kept us busy with drywall finishing across multiple campus refurbishments.
Cambridge has stayed busy through every downturn we’ve seen since 1998. The biotech and tech sectors don’t slow down. The universities keep expanding. Restaurant turnover and student accommodation keep producing fit-out work even when the wider economy goes quiet. It’s a recession-proof market in a way that bigger commercial cities aren’t, and that’s why our Cambridge work stays consistent year after year.
Most of our Cambridge work is commercial. Main contractors hire us for Science Park fit-outs, university refurbishments, and city centre commercial work. We also handle private commercial work and residential renovations across surrounding Cambridgeshire. The drive from Luton’s around an hour each way, which is manageable for a full crew on a daily commute or week-long programmes where we’d typically stay nearby.

Commercial taping and jointing
Hotels, office fit-outs, retail, hospitality, car showrooms, warehouses. We programme to your schedule, work around the other trades on site, and hit deadlines. Most main contractors hire us labour-only.

Residential taping and jointing
Renovations, extensions, new builds, occupied homes. The Festool kit matters most here. People living in the property don’t end up with dust over their kitchen counters and skirtings when we leave.

Fermacell FST (Fine Surface Treatment)
Fermacell finished to Fine Surface Treatment standard, ready for paint or paper. A lot of jointers won’t touch Fermacell. The technique is different and the margin for error is smaller. We do it, and we do it properly. More on our Fermacell page.

Labour-only or supply and fix
Tell us what suits your build. Materials supplied through us, or yours on site. Most contractors prefer labour-only. Residential clients usually want the full package. Either’s fine, the standard doesn’t change.
