How we work across the capital
JG Tapers and Jointers have worked across London since 1998. We’re a Luton-based crew of six covering the capital and the home counties. London is our biggest market by some distance. Hundreds of taping and jointing projects delivered across Central London, the City, the West End, and the outer boroughs.
Most of our London work is commercial. Main contractors hire us on tight programmes for hotel fit-outs, office developments, retail and hospitals. We also handle residential renovations and extensions for private clients across Greater London. We work labour-only or supply and fix, whichever suits the build.
What makes London different is the scheduling. Material deliveries, labour planning, working around restricted access hours, dealing with tight site logistics. None of it’s optional in central London. We’ve built our processes around it.
Material deliveries and labour scheduling are crucial for time efficiency on busy London developments. Get those wrong and you’re holding up every other trade on site.

Central London & The City
The bulk of our recent London work is office fit-outs in and around Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bishopsgate. Tight programmes, City-standard finish, repeat instructions from the main contractors who keep coming back. Most of this work is labour-only.
West End & Oxford Street
Flagship retail and shop fit-outs along Oxford Street and the surrounding shopping streets. Retail trading hours mean most of this work happens weekends and overnight. We’re set up to programme around that.
East London & Stratford
Westfield Stratford retail fit-outs across multiple phases. Surrounding regeneration developments in Stratford and along the East London corridor. Large clean spans, tight schedules, main-contractor labour-only.
West London & Heathrow
Retail at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush. Multiple hotel programmes near Heathrow Airport, including the Atrium Hotel: a 500-room programme valued at £330K, delivered over twelve months. Coverage extends through Hounslow, Hayes, and the wider M4 corridor.
South London hospitals
Healthcare environments at St George’s Hospital in Tooting and St Thomas’ Hospital near Waterloo. Hospital work means scheduling around live wards, infection-control briefings, and standards that not every contractor can hit.
North London & the A1 corridor
Whittington Hospital near Archway, plus office and residential developments across North London. Quick access for us coming down the A1 from Luton, which makes shorter North London jobs more straightforward to programme.

Commercial and residential. Labour-only or supply and fix. We work with main contractors on tight programmes and with private clients on home renovations.

Commercial taping and jointing
Hotels, office fit-outs, retail, hospitality, car showrooms, warehouses. We programme to your schedule, work around the other trades on site, and hit deadlines. Most main contractors hire us labour-only.

Residential taping and jointing
Renovations, extensions, new builds, occupied homes. The Festool kit matters most here. People living in the property don’t end up with dust over their kitchen counters and skirtings when we leave.

Fermacell FST (Fine Surface Treatment)
Fermacell finished to Fine Surface Treatment standard, ready for paint or paper. A lot of jointers won’t touch Fermacell. The technique is different and the margin for error is smaller. We do it, and we do it properly. More on our Fermacell page.

Labour-only or supply and fix
Tell us what suits your build. Materials supplied through us, or yours on site. Most contractors prefer labour-only. Residential clients usually want the full package. Either’s fine, the standard doesn’t change.

High-spec CAT B
Panasonic, Slough
CAT B fit-out for Panasonic. New office and meeting room layout to a very high specification. One-month programme, finished to the standard expected of a flagship brand.

Six warehouse dividing walls taped and jointed end to end. All work carried out off scissor lifts. Six-week programme, handed over on time.
